What is the FundScrip fundraising program?
Fundscrip is an innovative program that lets you earn cash rebates for Shades of Hope Wildlife Refuge based on things you buy everyday like groceries, gas and other household items.
Every month you spend hundreds of dollars for things like food, gas, clothing, pharmacy, restaurants, electronics, home renovations, department stores, and so on.
All you have to do is pay for some or all of your purchases using GIFT CARDS bought at face value from FundScrip participating retailers and a percentage of every gift card purchased is contributed to our group’s fundraising efforts. So instead of paying with cash or a debit card, you use a gift card that you purchased through our group. It costs you nothing extra but you just earned money for our organization.
How to Order Your Gift Card & Support Shades of Hope
Visit the FundScrip website at www.fundscrip.com and click on the “Support A Group” button located in the top right. Then you just have to fill in the required information.

We're looking for Fundraising Volunteers
As a Charitable Organization, Shades of Hope greatly values the gifts of time and talent that our Volunteers contribute. If you would like to offer your time and talent in the aid of helping injured and orphaned wildlife, please understand that this is a big commitment!
Regular ‘hands on’ help is needed to help with the day to day animal management. Volunteers will be required to sign up for regular ‘shifts’ on an ongoing basis. Responsibility and dependability are key. Please be aware that there is physical and dirty work involved! Cleaning cages and pens is a daily chore shared by all. Volunteers must be 16 years of age or older to apply.
We are always looking for drivers to help transport animals when the rescuers cannot drive themselves. There is also a need for drivers to transfer animals to other facilities for specialized care.
Muscle and creativity are always an asset if you want to consider being a part of our maintenance team! Carpentry, electrical and plumbing skills are often needed as well.
We also offer a comprehensive Wildlife Internship Program. If you are seriously interested in a career working with wildlife, you may want to consider this program.
