As a Charitable Organization, Shades of Hope greatly values the gifts of time and talent that our Volunteers contribute. If you would like to offer your help in the aid of injured and orphaned wildlife, please understand that this is a big commitment!
Regular ‘hands on’ help is needed to support the day to day animal management. Volunteers are required to sign up for regular ‘shifts’ on an ongoing basis. Responsibility and dependability are key. Please be aware it can be physical and dirty work. Cleaning cages & pens is a daily chore shared by all. Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age.
We are always looking for drivers to help transport animals when rescuers cannot drive themselves. We also have a need for drivers to transfer animals to specialized care facilities.
Muscle and creativity are always an asset, if you want to consider being a part of our maintenance team! Carpentry, electrical and plumbing skills are often in high demand.
We offer a comprehensive Wildlife Internship Program. If you are seriously interested in a career working with wildlife, you may want to consider this program.
